Manager – Finance & Accounts

Tachyon Technologies is an AI-Native professional services firm with offices in Southlake, Texas and Hyderabad, India, delivering across our Digital, Services and Tachyon Aura practices. We are executing a company-wide transformation to embed AI into every core workflow — including how we run and scale our own operations. The Finance & Accounts function is central to that journey: rigorous in governance and compliance, and modern in how it uses automation and AI to close faster, report sharper and free the team to focus on judgment and analysis over manual processing.

The Manager – Finance & Accounts will lead the end-to-end Finance, Accounting, Reporting, Compliance, Treasury, Taxation and Controllership functions of the organization. The role ensures strong financial governance, statutory compliance, accurate financial reporting, effective cash management and continuous process improvement — while actively driving Tachyon’s finance transformation and AI-Native ways of working to support the company’s growth.

• Lead end-to-end accounting operations including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Fixed Assets.
• Ensure timely monthly, quarterly and annual book closure, using automation and AI-assisted workflows to compress cycle time and reduce manual effort.
• Prepare and review Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow Statements.
• Ensure compliance with Ind AS, IFRS, US GAAP and Group Accounting Policies.
• Maintain accounting records, chart of accounts and financial documentation.

• Manage period-end close and financial reporting processes.
• Own the end-to-end payroll process and disbursement of salaries.
• Review journal entries, reconciliations, accruals and provisions, applying automated reconciliation and anomaly-detection tooling where available.
• Oversee intercompany accounting, reconciliations and settlements across US and India entities.
• Establish accounting policies, SOPs and internal financial controls.
• Support implementation of standardized accounting frameworks.

• Lead budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning activities.
• Perform variance analysis, profitability analysis and business performance reviews.
• Develop management reports, MIS and executive dashboards, moving toward AI-augmented, near-real-time reporting for leadership.

• Manage cash flow forecasting, liquidity planning and working capital, leveraging predictive tooling to improve forecast accuracy.
• Coordinate with banking partners on day-to-day banking activities.
• Oversee banking operations, fund utilization and treasury controls.
• Support investment planning and funding requirements.

• Manage Income Tax, GST, TDS and all statutory tax compliances.
• Coordinate tax assessments, audits and regulatory reviews.
• Manage Transfer Pricing documentation and compliance requirements across the US–India structure.

• Ensure compliance with the Companies Act, FEMA, RBI and applicable regulations.
• Manage ROC filings and statutory reporting requirements.
• Ensure compliance with applicable Labour Laws.
• Monitor related-party transactions and approval governance.

• Drive cost accounting, cost allocation and profitability analysis by department and practice.
• Perform cost-of-sales computation and variance analysis.
• Identify cost optimization and operational efficiency opportunities.

• Lead Statutory Audit, Internal Audit and Tax Audit activities.
• Ensure timely closure of audit observations.
• Strengthen risk management and continuous controls-monitoring frameworks.

• Drive automation, digitization and continuous-improvement initiatives across the finance function.
• Champion Tachyon’s AI-Native agenda within Finance — identifying and deploying AI and automation across close, reconciliations, AP/AR, reporting and compliance.
• Enhance ERP utilization and reporting capabilities.
• Work closely with other operational teams (HR, Contracts, Procurement, Legal) to standardize and automate cross-functional workflows.
• Support finance transformation and scalability programs.

• Build, mentor and develop a high-performing finance team.
• Lead hiring, capability development and succession planning.
• Foster a culture of accountability, ownership and continuous improvement.

This role is expected to lead by example in adopting AI in day-to-day finance work: using AI tools to accelerate close and reconciliations, draft and review documentation, analyze data and prepare management reporting. The successful candidate is comfortable questioning manual processes, redesigning them around automation, and measuring the time and accuracy gains that result.

• MBA / CA / CPA / CMA / ICWA.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in Accounting & Finance.
• Hands-on, real-time experience with Keka, QuickBooks and Zoho Books.
• Experience in IT, ITES, Shared Services, GCC or multinational environments preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Financial Reporting, Taxation, Treasury, Audit, Compliance and Finance Transformation.
• Demonstrated interest in, or experience with, automation and AI-driven finance workflows.
