IOT Embedded Firmware Engineer

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional firmware development experience.
• Strong proficiency in C and C++ programming for embedded systems.
• Experience developing firmware for IoT (Internet of Things) products and connected devices.
• Hands-on experience with microcontrollers, embedded processors, and real-time systems.
• Familiarity with communication protocols such as UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, BLE, Wi-Fi, Ethernet, or MQTT.
• Experience with typical embedded debugging tools.
• Understanding of embedded software architecture.
• Experience using version control systems such as Git.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with RTOS environments (FreeRTOS, Zephyr, ThreadX, etc.).
• Knowledge of secure firmware development, bootloaders, OTA updates, and cybersecurity best practices for IoT devices.
• Experience working in a cross-functional product development environment with hardware, software, and test engineers.
• Familiarity with cloud-connected IoT ecosystems (Azure IoT, AWS IoT, or similar platforms).
