Job Description:

We are looking for a seasoned Business Analyst with domain expertise in transportation and logistics to support business operations and systems initiatives. The ideal candidate will act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technology teams, helping to design, develop, and optimize transportation processes and IT systems such as Transportation Management Systems (TMS).

Key Responsibilities:

• Work with business stakeholders (logistics managers, dispatch teams, drivers, etc.) to gather and document requirements.

• Translate transportation operational needs into functional specifications for IT and development teams.

• Analyze current transportation workflows such as: Order fulfilment, Route planning, Carrier assignment, Fleet scheduling, Shipment tracking.

• Identify gaps and propose process improvements or system changes.

• Support Transportation Management System (TMS) implementations or enhancements.

• Assist in the integration of systems like SAP TM, Oracle Transportation Management (OTM), or custom logistics platforms.

• Work on automation of manual logistics tasks (e.g., load tendering, invoicing, proof of delivery).

• Analyze logistics KPIs (e.g., on-time delivery rate, fuel efficiency, carrier performance).

• Design and support reporting dashboards and BI tools for transportation data.

Professional Skills:

• Understanding of shipping, freight, load planning, routing, carrier management, and compliance.

• Strong communication and coordination across business, IT, and third-party vendors.

• Creating BRDs, FRDs, user stories, and use case documents.

• Understanding of Agile/Waterfall Methodologies and Integration Understanding.

• Desired knowledge of e2open/BluJay logistics knowledge.
