Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Architect with deep expertise in IBM Sterling Gateway and associated IBM B2B integration products. This role will be responsible for designing, architecting, and overseeing the implementation of secure, scalable, and high-performing file transfer and B2B integration solutions.
Key Responsibilities:

Design and implement enterprise-level B2B integration solutions using IBM Sterling Gateway, B2B Integrator (B2Bi), File Gateway, and Secure Proxy

Define architectural standards, integration patterns, and best practices for secure data exchange and partner connectivity

Collaborate with infrastructure, network, and security teams to ensure robust and compliant system design (e.g., DMZ configuration, TLS, firewall rules)

Lead end-to-end solution architecture, including partner onboarding, data mapping, routing, and error handling strategies

Provide technical leadership across projects and mentor development and support teams

Monitor system performance, analyze bottlenecks, and optimize configurations for availability and throughput

Manage SSL/TLS certificates, security policies, and compliance-related configurations (PCI, GDPR, etc.)

Ensure proper integration with monitoring tools such as IBM Sterling Control Center (SCC) and log aggregation systems

Document architecture decisions, interface specifications, and system configurations

Support disaster recovery planning and execution, including high availability architecture
Professional Skills:
-
Strong understanding of secure file transfer protocols: SFTP, FTPS, HTTPS, AS2, etc.

Experience with EDI standards (e.g., X12, EDIFACT), data transformation and routing

Hands-on experience with Unix/Linux scripting, automation, and troubleshooting

Solid knowledge of networking, firewall, load balancer, and DMZ concepts

Experience with high availability and disaster recovery setups

Familiarity with cloud migration and hybrid architectures is a plus

Excellent communication and documentation skills

Ability to lead technical discussions and interface with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
