Job Description:
We are seeking a HIL (Hardware-in-the-Loop) Lab Technician to support our automotive testing and validation team. The role involves setting up, maintaining, and troubleshooting HIL test benches, running test cases, and ensuring seamless integration of hardware and software systems for validation of ECU (Electronic Control Unit) functions.
Key responsibilities:

Set up, configure, and maintain HIL test benches and laboratory equipment.

Support ECU integration and validation activities for automotive systems.

Prepare and execute test cases on HIL systems based on project requirements.

Troubleshoot hardware, software, and communication interface issues (CAN, LIN, Ethernet, FlexRay, etc.).

Collaborate with engineers to validate embedded software and system functions.

Ensure lab equipment and test benches are properly calibrated and maintained.

Document test results, prepare reports, and track issues in defect management tools (e.g., Jira, ALM).

Follow safety, security, and quality protocols within the lab environment.
Professional Skills:

Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical / Electronics / Automotive Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.

2–5 years of experience working in an automotive HIL or ECU validation environment.

Hands-on experience with dSPACE, Vector, ETAS, or NI HIL systems.

Familiarity with automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet, FlexRay).

Knowledge of ECU flashing, test automation frameworks, and scripting (Python, CAPL, MATLAB/Simulink).

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Excellent documentation and communication abilities.
