Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced SAP BusinessObjects (BOBJ) Consultant to join our Application Management Services (AMS) team. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of SAP Data Migration, ETL processes, and Business Intelligence (BI) frameworks. The consultant will be responsible for providing operational support, maintenance, and enhancements for SAP BusinessObjects reporting and analytics solutions. This role requires close collaboration with business users, functional consultants, and technical teams to ensure high availability, performance, and reliability of reporting platforms and analytics deliverables.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and optimize SAP BusinessObjects reports, dashboards, and universes (UNX/UNV).

• Support and enhance existing SAP BOBJ applications, ensuring smooth data flow and performance tuning.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

• Perform root cause analysis and troubleshooting for report and data-related issues.

• Integrate data from various SAP modules (ECC, BW, HANA) and non-SAP sources into reporting layers.

• Participate in data modeling, ETL design, and migration activities to support BI solutions.

• Manage user access, security, and system configurations within the BOBJ environment.

• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between business needs and technical delivery.

• Provide support for upgrades, patching, and new feature implementations.

• Prepare technical documentation, user guides, and training materials as needed.

Professional Skills:

• Strong hands-on experience with SAP BusinessObjects tools such as Web Intelligence (WebI), Lumira, Design Studio, Dashboards, Analysis for Office (AO), and Crystal Reports.

• Experience with Universe Design Tool (UDT) and Information Design Tool (IDT) for creating and managing semantic layers.

• Working knowledge of SAP BW, HANA, and data modeling concepts.

• Proficiency in SQL, ETL processes, and data integration techniques.

• Experience in performance tuning, query optimization, and report scheduling using CMC and BI Launchpad.

• Familiarity with data governance, data quality, and security best practices.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

• Ability to work in fast-paced, global environments with minimal supervision.

• Strong understanding of business processes and data visualization principles.
