Job Summary:
The US IT Recruiter is responsible for managing the full recruitment life cycle for various IT roles for US-based clients. This role requires a strong understanding of the US IT job market, technical skill sets, US employment laws, and visa regulations. The ideal candidate will be highly driven, possess excellent communication and networking skills, and be able to deliver results in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Full Lifecycle Recruitment: Manage the entire recruitment process for IT positions, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, coordinating interviews, negotiating offers, and facilitating onboarding.
- Requirements Gathering: Collaborate closely with hiring managers and clients to understand their specific IT staffing needs, job requirements, and company culture.
- Candidate Sourcing: Proactively identify and source qualified IT candidates using various channels, including:
- Online job boards (Dice, LinkedIn, Indeed, etc.)
- Professional networking sites (LinkedIn, GitHub)
- Social media
- Internal databases and applicant tracking systems (ATS)
- Employee referrals
- Headhunting and cold calling
- Candidate Screening & Assessment:
- Review resumes and applications to assess qualifications, experience, and technical skills.
- Conduct initial phone and video interviews to evaluate candidates’ technical proficiency, communication skills, and cultural fit.
- Administer technical assessments or coding challenges as needed.
- Interview Coordination: Schedule and coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring managers, ensuring a smooth and efficient process.
- Candidate Relationship Management: Maintain a strong pipeline of qualified IT candidates and provide a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.
- Offer Negotiation: Extend and negotiate salary, benefits, and employment terms with successful candidates, ensuring compliance with US labor laws and visa regulations (e.g., W2, 1099, C2C, H1B, Green Card, TN visas).
- Market Research & Trends: Stay updated on industry trends, IT market dynamics, salary benchmarks, and emerging technologies to attract top talent.
- Compliance: Ensure all recruitment practices comply with US labor laws, immigration policies, and visa regulations.
- Reporting: Track recruitment metrics (e.g., time-to-hire, cost-per-hire, offer acceptance rate) and provide regular reports to stakeholders.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other recruiters, HR teams, and departments to achieve recruitment goals.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

- Proven experience (typically X+ years) as a US IT Recruiter or Technical Recruiter.
- Demonstrated experience in full lifecycle recruiting for various IT roles (e.g., Software Engineers, Data Scientists, DevOps, Cloud Engineers, Cybersecurity, Business Analysts, Project Managers).
- Strong understanding and experience with US work authorizations (H1B, Green Card, TN, E3, etc.) and different tax terms (W2, 1099, C2C).
- Technical Acumen:
- Solid understanding of IT concepts, technologies, and technical jargon.
- Familiarity with various programming languages, frameworks, databases, and IT infrastructure.
- Sourcing Expertise:
- Proficiency in various sourcing techniques, including Boolean search, X-Ray search, and advanced search operators.
- Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and resume databases.
- Communication Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to articulate complex technical requirements clearly.
